2010 New York Fashion Week needs no introduction.

This is a late late blog for this fabulous event, and will do it no justice but I have to try and cover it.

Designers are sticking to their classy guns. Blacks, grays, browns, khakis, and navys are the base colors for the fall. Pairing your classics with colorful eye catching pieces are key.

I need not have to explain the sadness that looms over fashion week. The missing Alexander McQueen recognized by all. It pains me to even write about it.

Below is a few shots of Michael Kors's Collection that debuted today at 10am.
This totally classic dress is fabulous. The sleeves with low cut v is just enough skin to be impressive. The split in textiles at the waist draws attention.

His mastery at combining tailoring and softness was the driver of his collection for fall. Knit after knit after knit came down the catwalk each more delicious than the last one. There were oversized statement sweaters, sheer mohair sweaters with well-placed cowls for modesty, cashmere skirts and sweatpants (that looked like trousers) and, of course, body-hugging tube skirts and dresses. The showstoppers in this collection were the furs and outerwear pieces

More to come!!
